Original Interior Authenticity

QUESTION: Robert Bierwalter asks: I have a 1985 Iroc that I purchased before the seller parted it out to much. The passenger front seat and rear split seats are black with a center pattern using three shades of gray in stripes. In each stripe is the word "camaro" in black. The door panels also are black with the three gray stripe design with the word "camaro" in it. The insert on the door panels are located just behind the door release and run from the top door trim to the armrest. I noticed the front seat has a zipper attached to the cover. Unfortunately the previous owner sold only the driver seat which was replaced with a seat from a 1984 Camaro. I want to match the driver seat with the remainder of the interior. Does this interior scheme sound like a factory option or an aftermarket purchase?

I live in NY. My friend has a superstock race car and is putting race seats in it. This is an 86 Iroc which was turned into a race car from it's very first day. Black with gray stripes w/ the word camaro in the middle. the door panels I believe also match... I'd have to check. I think they might have swapped interiors when they had it painted. Let me ask him and I'll let you know

If he wants to sell them I will let you know.
